Hi, our names are Robert and Kia, we are delighted to be your local dog trainers in the Townsville region.

We have always been lovers of dogs - big and small.  Previously we had owned dogs which were relatively easy to work with, so when we decided to change to Siberian Huskies, we were unprepared for the headstrong ways of the beautiful Northern breed.  After searching the Yellow Pages, and the internet, trying to find solutions to behavioural issues, we found that the Townsville region was lacking a professional dog training system which has been shown to work.  

After finding Bark Busters and using the techniques on our troublesome pups, we were able to quickly stop our dogs basic behavioural issues, turning them into prized pooches.   "I laugh when people say we have good dogs, because we know they can also have the dog they have always wanted using our simple techniques". We have both experienced great satisfaction in helping frustrated dog owners with their wayward pets, and saving many from an unknown fate.

I was called to help a client whom owned Mungo, a 2 year old Bull Arab x Bull Mastiff.  Mungo was thought to be aggressive towards visitors.  He would bark at visitors, and then as they attempted to walk back into the house, he would sneak up and nip close to their ankles.  He was terrible on lead,  he was terrible on lead when walked  and would pull the owners down the street, however he was easily scared by other dogs or objects that he was unfamiliar with.  He even pulled his owner all the way home  once because he was afraid of a dog he saw in the distance! He wasn't even able to be bathed, as he was afraid of water.  After my  first lesson with them I was able to be in the back yard with Mungo,  the owners had him responding to the system very quickly. By the end of training with Mungo, the client was able to walk Mungo (with strangers around), have visitors over, and even be bathed!

Another great dog was Bella, the 10 year old Silky.  The owners of Bella had been finding that she would bark at everyone and everything that passed her front or back door.  Although Bella was very cute, she would bark at the neighbours, pull on the lead, jump up and beg at the dining table for food to the point her owners could no longer put up with her bad behaviour any longer.  Bella responded so well for her owners and by the end of just the first lesson, they had Bella listening to all commands, sitting nicely on her bed, not begging at the table, and she was coming when she was called.  The owner even made the comment "I can't believe we didn't do this earlier!".  Bella is the living proof that no dog is ever too old to learn new tricks.
