Since I was a little girl I have loved dogs passionately. My first memories of dogs is sitting in the gutter feeding the strays my ice cream. They used to follow me home and I was in constant trouble with my parents. They would catch me in the backyard with dogs from all over the neighbourhood and I would beg them to let me keep them. I had two Poodles and a Pekingese when I was growing up.
I have rescued many many dogs over the years and have five dogs at present. For ten years I fought to stop pound dogs being used in experiments at Sydney University, and during that time I debated Scientists and Provivisectionists on television on the subject. I was associated with the International League of Doctors for the Abolition of Vivisection and studied under medical historian Hans Ruesch. I am happy to say that experimentation on lost or abandoned dogs is now illegal in the state of NSW.
Now that I am with Bark Busters I get the greatest satisfaction in assisting owners and their loved dogs to build a better relationship. It is very special indeed to do a job that I love and I get to meet fantastic people as well. The love I have for dogs shows through in my sessions with clients and I always feel a special bond with the dogs I work with.
