In-Home Training... We Come to You!

Our research has proven that in order to solve problems effectively, we need to work in the dog's own environment. This is why Bark Busters' primary service is In-Home Training.

It is ideal for:

  • Creating an obedient dog that will happily walk on lead without tugging, sit or stay on command, and come immediately when called (sorry, we don't train kids!);
  • Solving nasty habits such as aggression towards people or other animals;
  • Curing irritating things like barking, jumping up on people, scratching/whining at the back door;
  • Establishing 'off limit/no go' areas for your dog and establishing natural measures to resolve separation anxiety without drugs.

The Bark Busters Method... We Teach You to Communicate with Your Pet

Blah, Blah, blah, bad dog! blah blah. Do you think your dog isn't listening to you? Maybe you're simply not speaking his/her language.

The Bark Buster method is based on the way dogs communicate with each other & how they learn from older, more important dogs in the pack. This is what makes our training unique & effective.

Why Train In Your Home?

Your dog lives with a family, in a home. This is where any misbehaviour can cause the most problems... so this is where training is most effective as dogs learn by association. Bark Busters teach your dog to associate your home as the place they must listen and obey... not some local dog training oval.

Training in your home is a one-on-one system without the distraction of any other dogs and without the dog being stressed by being sent away for training at a kennel.

Customised Training

All dogs are different - just like people - so we vary our approach based on  each dog's individual personality and temperament and what will work for that dog. We also vary the training to suit the family's specific needs and lifestyle, the dog's environment and what YOU do or don't want your dog to do.

Here's what a typical session is like:

  • A Bark Busters Trainer comes to your home;
  • They assess the situation, see what the issues are, see how the dog interacts with you in it's own environment;
  • Then we put a plan in place and teach you the techniques you need;
  • We leave you with a written, easy to follow, workplan that will keep you and your dog on track;
  • Normally this process takes just under 3 hours;
  • We leave you with a Written Lifetime Guarantee.

Non-Physical

There are no big sticks, rolled newspapers or threats of any kind. We do not use shock, spray or pronged collars. We teach you to use just your VOICE to control your dog... both on and off lead, at your home, at the park... anywhere.

Written Lifetime Guarantee

With Bark Busters Gold Class Service, In-Home lessons are guaranteed for the life of your dog! That means we come back and provide further training - at no extra charge - if the problems recur at any point in the dogs life. Read more about our unique Guarantee here.

What's Included

We are committed to solving your problem. We charge a one-time fee that covers as many sessions as you require to get the problems under control.

The first session will take around 2 to 3 hours and you will be required to practice for 15 minutes a day for 4 to 5 weeks. This will reinforce your dog's newly learned behaviour.
